Social Justice Press Partners With Rebeca Seitz, Former Evangelical Turned Progressive
St. LOUIS, MO, MARCH 11, 2022- Progressive Christian and social justice publisher Chalice Press is thrilled to welcome Rebeca Seitz as its new Executive Director of Marketing and Content Development. In the newly created role, Seitz will create and oversee all promotional efforts for the line and assist in its ongoing development.
“This is the next step in Chalice Press’ evolution into the go-to publisher for progressive Christians and faith-based social justice activism,” said Brad Lyons, President and Publisher. “Rebeca’s arrival brings a burst of energy, creativity, experience, and passion about changing the world into one that welcomes everybody into God’s love, no questions asked. We’re excited about the possibilities that lay ahead of us.”
Seitz’s 17-year entertainment industry background began when she served as the launch publicist for the fiction division of Thomas Nelson Publishers. She then founded Glass Road Media and Management, providing publicity and artist management to authors and works from Tyndale, Zondervan, Waterbrook-Multnomah, David C Cook, Charisma, Barbour Books, Baker Books, Howard/Simon & Schuster, Hachette Books, Moody Publishing, B&H Publishing, NavPress, and others. The company secured coverage on The Today Show, CNN, Fox, USA Today, Southern Living, National Public Radio, Good Housekeeping, Book Page, and more. Seitz then branched into film and television as the CEO of Spirit Of Naples (SON) Studios in Naples, Florida for six years. Her latest role was President and CEO of 1C Productions, Inc (justoneC.com) where she oversaw the creation, distribution, and promotion of story-driven podcast shows.
Within the faith community, Seitz might best be known for her very public journey away from evangelicalism and into progressive Christianity. She documented the story at Freevangelic.com and hosts the Freevangelic Podcast with her husband.
“After many years of wrestling through my own faith evolution, I am so grateful to be welcomed into Chalice Press,” Seitz says. “It’s an honor to help with the incredible work of this social justice publishing house.”
Seitz lives in and will be working from Naples, Florida.
